<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger having high heat exchange efficiency that is alternative to a conventional fin-and-tube heat exchanger, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger exchanges heat between a first fluid flowing in a first channel and a second fluid on the outside of the first channel. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of plate members having through-holes and burrs formed across the whole circumference of the through-holes.
