<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail system which performs efficient mail management by determining storage destinations of mails on the basis of characteristics of each mail and each mail box to enhance mail distribution performance. <P>SOLUTION: A mail system 100 comprises a data storage server 108 for storing mails transmitted to a user address of a terminal device 101; and a mail box server 107 for controlling storage of the mails. A storage section of the data storage server 108 has a first storage unit 307 and a second storage unit 309. A control unit of the mail box server 107 determines whether to select the first storage unit 307 or the second storage unit 309 as a storage destination of each mail according to at least one of characteristics of each mail, characteristics of the storage units of the data store server 108, and setting information of the terminal device 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
