PURPOSE: A display device is provided to enable an observer to recognize a slippery movement image as slipper movement without the generation of a color break. CONSTITUTION: A light source(150) independently emits light of a plurality of different dominant wavelengths. A light emitting controller(102) allows the light source to consecutively emit the light of one dominant wavelength. A display panel(130) has an optical shutter.
