PURPOSE: A method for preparing a novel synthetic peptide library is provided to cheaply and simply search peptides which bind to a target substance. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic peptide library is prepared by randomly arranging three kinds of representative amino acids among amino acids with positive charge, negative charge, and aromatic group at a side chain and individually analyzing each peptide. A method for searching a target substance comprises: a step of adsorbing the target substance on the solid surface using the synthetic peptide library; a step of dissociating the peptides; and a step of measuring the concentration of the peptides.
