The present invention relates to a power supply device, method, and program configured so as to enable only specified people to charge. A control unit controls a reader/writer, generates a read signal for a vehicle ID comprising a high-frequency signal that causes a vehicle ID stored in an ID circuit to be read, and supplies same to a high-pass filter. The read signal comprising the high-frequency signal or a write signal is superimposed on a power supply line and supplied to the high-pass filter. The high-pass filter supplies the read signal for the vehicle ID comprising the high-frequency signal to the ID circuit. The ID circuit, on the basis of the read signal, sends as the read response signal the vehicle ID stored in an IC chip housed in the ID circuit, to a charger via a reverse path. If the vehicle ID for the response signal is legitimate, a recognition unit in the control unit turns ON a switching switch and causes a battery for the electric vehicle to charge using power superimposed by a low-pass filter. This technology can be applied to a power supply system. |
