An electric vacuum cleaner (100) equipped with a main body (1), which generates a suction airstream by means of a built-in electric fan (21), and a dust collector (8), which is detachably provided on the upper part of the main body (1) and collects dust by separating dust from the suction airstream drawn in by running the electric fan (21), wherein the dust collector (8) is obtained from multiple assemblies (9, 10, 11) and is provided with multiple fastening means (40, 41) that fasten the multiple assemblies (9, 10, 11). The dust collector (8) is configured so that when a specific fastening means (40) of the multiple fastening means (40, 41) provided on the dust collector (8) is operated so as to be released, the other fastening means (41) is also released in conjunction with said operation.
