An operating method, according to an embodiment of the present invention, for a control-point device for controlling a media server, comprises the steps of: receiving a content object comprising profile name information; and, when the profile name information presents an unidentified profile, transmitting a header information transmission request message, to the media server, said message requesting the media server to transmit, to a device to be controlled, header information for content corresponding to the content object.
