<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce armature reaction in a motor using a segment magnet, and to reduce a torque sag and a torque ripple in a heavy load region. <P>SOLUTION: A motor 1 for EPS is a brushless motor using a segment magnet 16 with a cross section formed in a D type, and an opposing planar surface 43 formed by chamfering a core apex P of a rotor core 15 is provided between magnet attachments 15a of the rotor core 15. A width B in a circumferential direction of the opposing surface 43 and a distance A between the segment magnets has the relation of (A/3)<B≤A. The opposing surface 43 expands an air gap 44 in a part between magnetic poles, and approximately equalizes inductance of a magnetic circuit passing through the opposing surface 43 and the air gap 44, and inductance of the magnetic circuit passing through the magnet 16 and an air gap 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
