Disclosed is a camera-type scanner imaging by using partial imaging plane, comprising a base, a digital photographing module, a folding arm, a shaft and a support column mounted on the base, wherein the digital photographing module is mounted on the folding arm, and the folding arm is mounted on the support column via the shaft; the digital photographing module comprises a sensor control chip, a sensor and a sensing lens, wherein the sensor control chip controls and connects with the sensor, and the sensor is placed on part of the imaging plane of the sensing lens. In the present invention, the sensor of the digital photographing module is placed on part of the imaging plane of the sensing lens to present a complete image, so that the position of the sensor can be adjusted as desired. In this way, a picture can be taken clearly by installing the digital photographing module directly at the front end of the support column with the extending of the folding arm significantly shortened or without extending the folding arm, and a complete picture can be taken by directly using the partial imaging plane of the lens.
