<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set of a pigment ink, which can stably perform inkjet recording by thermal energy and obtain high-quality images achieving both of uniform scratch resistance and high image density, and a reaction liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The set used for an image forming method wherein at least an ink is discharged from an inkjet type recording head by thermal energy action comprises a combination of the ink and the reaction liquid. The ink includes a pigment dispersed by a resin and a surfactant. The reaction liquid includes no colorant but includes an organic acid having a carboxy group and has pH of 3.5-5.5. An acid value of the resin is 30-100 mgKOH/g. A content mass ratio of the resin/pigment in the ink is 0.10-0.90. The surfactant is an ethylene oxide adduct of a specific higher alcohol, and has the HLB value of ≥13.0 determined by the Griffin method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
