<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control onboard equipment by showing functions assigned to steering switches to a driver, while ensuring safety traveling of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus includes: the steering switches 106L and 106R provided on a steering wheel of the vehicle and assigned a plurality of functions included in equipment mounted on the vehicle; a display 100 displaying an image on a position where the driver of the vehicle can sight; an equipment control part 202 for making the equipment mounted on the vehicle perform functions selected by the driver using the steering switches 106L and 106R; a traveling state determination part 207 for determining whether the vehicle travels in safety; and a display control part 206 for displaying images showing a plurality of functions assigned to the steering switches 106L and 106R on the display 100, only when the traveling state determination part 207 determines that the vehicle travels in safety. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
