PURPOSE: A mobile robot is provided to accurately sense a mobile position by detecting a relative position by detecting lower part image information. CONSTITUTION: A mobile robot includes a mobile robot body(110) and a relative position detection unit. The relative position detection unit includes a lower part sensing unit(151). The lower part sensing unit emits laser to the lower part of the robot body. The lower part sensing unit detects lower part image information by capturing the lower part of the robot body. The relative position detection unit detects a relative position according to the movement of the robot body based on the lower part image information.
