<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating food which achieves coating to obtain a smooth and good appearance coated surface with gloss without exerting any bad influence on flavor, and a food product coated according to the coating method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, a coating agent containing 50 wt.% starch degradation material and having a DE value of 35-65, is distributed on the surface of food, such as biscuit or snack, to be coated without being dissolved in water or oil, melts by heating, and then cooled to be solidified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
