<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for resuming use of a function at the time of re-connection while enhancing the convenience, when making the same function available not only in a portable terminal but also on the external apparatus side by connecting the portable terminal and the external apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a smartphone 1 which makes an application of its own terminal available even on the side of an external apparatus by connecting therewith through communication, when a determination is made to disconnect the external apparatus, correspondence of the apparatus ID acquired from the external apparatus and the resume information is stored. When connection with the external apparatus is established again, the resume information corresponding to the apparatus ID is obtained with reference to the correspondence, based on the apparatus ID acquired from the external apparatus.
