<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and stably manufacture a polycarbonate resin excellent in optical characteristic, thermostability, hue and mechanical strength with less foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a polycarbonate resin by supplying a polycarbonate resin including, as raw material monomers, at least 9,9-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) fluorene or a cyclic ether additive of the fluorene to an extruder, kneading it to have a high molecular weight, and then discharging the resulting resin from a die, the weight W (kg/h) of the amount of resin extruded by the extruder per hour and the cross-sectional area S (m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>) of the barrel of the extruder satisfy relation (2): 12,000≤W/S≤60,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
