PURPOSE: A speed-controllable wiper device and a control method thereof are provided to effectively control wiper speed and to reduce manufacturing costs by adding an operational device operated by receiving signals from a vehicle driving speed sensing device. CONSTITUTION: A speed-controllable wiper device comprises a vehicle speed input part, an operational device, and a wiper speed control unit. The vehicle speed input part receives signals on the driving speed of a vehicle. The operational device applies appropriate weighted values according to the speed of the vehicle and determines the speed of a wiper. The wiper speed control unit controls the speed of the wiper according to the result of the operational device.
