A base station (eNB 100) is defined by 3GPP standards and includes a control unit (140) that, in a case where an uplink signal transmitted from a wireless terminal (UE) being served by another base station to this other base station is detected, determines the frequency band to be assigned to a wireless terminal (UE) being served by the base station (eNB 100) on the basis of the frequency band of the detected uplink signal. At least in the other base station, the frequency band of a downlink signal is made to correspond with the frequency band of the uplink signal.
