<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene resin-made heat insulating base material and a heat insulating pipe cover composed thereof excellent in rigidity, heat resistance, and high foaming workability and suitable for heat insulating materials for air conditioner piping, freezers/refrigerators, and water/hot water supply pipes. <P>SOLUTION: The polyethylene resin-made heat insulating material is a foamed sheet including a polyethylene resin composition and having apparent density of 90-650 g/L and a closed cell ratio of ≥70%. The polyethylene resin composition includes: 90-40 mass% of linear polyethylene (α); and 10-60 mass% of high-pressure process low-density polyethylene (β). The polyethylene resin composition has density of 930-960 kg/m<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, a melt flow rate under a load of 2.16 kg at 190°C of 0.1-20 g/10 min, one melting point peak of an endothermic curve obtained in temperature rising measurement by a differential scanning calorimeter, and a modulus (λmax) of strain hardening, which occurs in measurement of elongational viscosity, of 2.0-30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
