[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] [Also in Group I] The rotary cutter of a lawn-mower comprises a number of helical blades A and disc-like spiders B with circumferentially-spaced slots each receiving, respectively, portions of different blades, each spider B having rigid therewith at least one projection D adjacent each slot and extending alongside of and being welded to the corresponding blade. Spot welding or other methods of welding may be used. The projection D may be integral or not with the spider B, and the spider B may have an integral partly cut-away flange.
