Support unit i.e. bikepad, for fastening e.g. mobile phone, in handlebar of bike i.e. mountain bike, has adaptive plastic body formed by fastening device and obtaining required contact and frictional resistance

The support unit has a base plate (1) made of aluminum or carbon, and a fastening device i.e. Velcro(RTM: hook and loop fastener) tape (5), arranged in a contact region and made of flexible plastics. An adaptive plastic body i.e. foam bearing (4), is formed by the fastening device and obtains required contact and frictional resistance, where an attenuation required against the dynamic load is obtained by the adaptive plastic body and the fastening device. An arch plate (2) provides the required contact pressure and the required reaction force for the support unit.
