CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner comprises an obstacle detecting unit(100) including an optical pattern sensor(110) detecting obstacles using optical patterns and outputting obstacle information, a position recognition unit(200) comprising a sensor for detecting the position of the robot cleaner and outputting position information, and a control unit(300) controlling the robot cleaner based on the obstacle information and position information. The optical pattern sensor comprises a light source module projecting optical patterns according to the position information, a camera module, and an image processing module.
