REPLACEABLE FLOATING GATE VALVE SEAT SEAL Abstract of the Disclosure A gate valve (11) includes a floating gate valve seat (27) that effects a seal between a gate (17) of a gate valve and a gate valve body (13) using a metal seal (41). The gate valve (11) includes a floating gate valve seat (27) interposed between a gate (17) and a gate valve body (31). The gate valve seat (27) has a spring member (43) with a cylindrical portion (44) secured to the gate valve seat (27). The spring member (43) has a leg (45) that exerts a spring force against the gate valve body (31) to maintain a seal between the floating gate valve seat (27) and the gate (11). A metal to-metal seal (41) seals between the cylindrical portion (44) of the spring member (43) and a cylindrical portion of the gate valve seat (27). Fig. 1 |
