<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system which can improve the stability of an output. <P>SOLUTION: The engine system is constituted in such a manner that, when a control means 20 determines that a detection temperature of a catalyst temperature detection means 14 reaches an overheat preventing set temperature or higher, and a catalyst overheat state is brought about, the control means executes output-lowering processing for lowering the output of the engine 1 or stopping the engine 1, and after the execution of the output lowering processing, when the detection temperature of the catalyst temperature detection means 14 becomes lower than the overheat preventing set temperature and it is not determined that the catalyst overheat state is brought about, the control means executes output recovery processing. There is arranged an overheat determination inhibiting means 21 for inhibiting that the control means 20 determines that the catalyst overheat state is brought about during a period that the output recovery processing is finished after the execution of at least the output lowering processing when the control means 20 determines that the catalyst overheat state is brought about when switching a combustion mode to a lean combustion mode from a stoichiometry combustion mode, and executes the output lowering processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
