The structural formwork system (100) has formwork elements (10,11) that are spaced apart from each other so as to form a formwork space (12). The spacer elements (13) are arranged for holding assembly of the formwork elements. The spacer elements are formed from a plastic material. Several holes (15) are provided along the longitudinal direction of the spacer elements. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing structural formwork system.
