[Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XL (c)] A crystal contact device for an amplifier comprises two closely spaced wires rigidly secured together and electrically insulated from each other, one end of the structure being treated so as to expose the wires for engagement with the crystal. The two wires may be separately insulated and then twisted together or may be embedded in an insulating body. The end of the structure may be ground to a point to expose the two contact points or the insulating material may be removed from the end and the exposed wires pointed by electrolytic treatment. The wires may be crimped or coiled to provide resiliency. |
