<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump capable of restraining a temperature rise in fuel. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 11 installed in an internal combustion engine 200 by a flange 40 has a pressurizing chamber 121 for pressurizing, quantitatively adjusting and sucking the fuel by the reciprocating movement of a plunger 13. A cylinder 14 reciprocatably stores the plunger 13 in the axial direction in the housing 11. An annular fuel seal 50 is connected on one side in the axial direction to the cylinder 14, and the other side slidingly contacts with an outer wall in the radial outer direction on the opposite side of the pressurizing chamber 121 of the plunger 13, and has a sub-pressurizing chamber 122 inside. An annular oil seal 60 is connected on one side in the axial direction to the flange 40, and the other side slidingly contacts with the outer wall in the radial outer direction of the plunger 13 on the opposite side of the pressurizing chamber 121 more than the fuel seal 50. Heat of the internal combustion engine 200 is restrained from being transmitted to the sub-pressurizing chamber 122 from the oil seal 60 by a first heat insulation space 140 formed between the oil seal 60 and the fuel seal 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
