<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately grasp the conveying status of a recording material in an image forming device forming an image while conveying the continuous recording material. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a conveying unit conveying the continuous recording material, an image forming unit forming the image on the recording material conveyed by the conveying unit, a first sensor sensing the position of an end face of the recording material conveyed by the conveying unit, a second sensor sensing the position of the end face of the recording material conveyed by the conveying unit, a third sensor sensing the position of the end face of the recording material conveyed by the conveying unit, and a control unit calculating a first amount of shift caused by movement of the recording material, a second amount of shift caused by rotation of the recording material, and a third amount of shift caused by variation of the end face of the recording material based on the positions of the end face of the recording material simultaneously sensed respectively by the first sensor, the second sensor and the third sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
