摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon composite lithium titanate showing excellent conductivity, and having excellent flowability, and to provide a method for producing the same, active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, and the nonaqueous electrolyte battery. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon composite lithium titanate contains 1-10 mass% conductive carbon to lithium titanate on a surface part or in a porous surface inside layer of each porous particle of approximately spherical lithium titanate. The method for producing the carbon composite lithium titanate has a step wherein wetly dispersed conductive carbon is pressed into the porous surface inside layer of each porous particle of approximately spherical lithium titanate at 25-120&deg;C to be carried on the surface of porous particles. The active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery obtained from the carbon composite lithium titanate, and the nonaqueous electrolyte battery including a positive electrode and a negative electrode containing the active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte battery are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
