<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of achieving quiet operation. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises: an external housing having an intake port; and an intake device 4 for taking air into the external housing through the intake port. The intake device 4 comprises: intake fans 41, 42 having suction ports 41A, 42A for sucking the air and blow-off ports 41B, 42B for blowing off the air; and an intake duct 43 for introducing the air taken in through the intake port to the intake fans 41, 42.
