<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel, small-sized light-source device which is different from the conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a light-source device comprising: a light-source main body formed by combining a plurality of semiconductor laser devices; a plurality of collimator lenses which make light output from the semiconductor laser devices of the light-source main body approximately parallel with one another; and a light-condensing lens configured to condense light output from the plurality of collimator lenses. The semiconductor laser device includes a semiconductor laser element, and an I-shaped package including a stem and a cap. The plurality of semiconductor laser devices are arranged in the light-source main body such that stems of adjacent semiconductor laser devices are apparently continuous with each other in a first direction vertical to an optical axis direction of the light-condensing lens, and stems of adjacent semiconductor laser devices are overlapped with one another in a second direction vertical to both of the optical axis direction and the first direction when viewed from the light-condensing lens. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
