PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film transistor (TFT) substrate which is used for a flexible display which uses the TFT substrate side as a light receiving surface or a light emitting surface, such as a transparency type liquid crystal display device and a bottom emission type organic EL display device.

SOLUTION: A TFT substrate includes: a planarization layer having light transmissivity and insulation quality and containing a resin; a metal layer formed on one surface of the planarization layer so as to have a pattern shape and having flexibility; and a TFT element and a pixel electrode which are formed on a surface of the planarization layer which is opposite to the metal layer side. A pixel electrode formation region where the pixel electrode is formed and a metal layer non formation region where the metal layer is not formed are disposed so as to at least partially overlap with each other. The above problem is solved by providing the TFT substrate.
