A security system, which prevents a vehicle being driven away while it is left un-attended with the engine running uses a proximity-activated system immediately locking the engine off at the moment a door is unlatched, thus preventing opportunistic drive-away theft. The system allows the legal driver to leave a vehicle to pre-heat or preÂ-cool the interior, or to exit from the vehicle temporarily to load/unload persons or freight or open a gate/garage door with the engine running. The system comprises a wireless receiver A2 with receiving channels to reset the controls by means of signals transmitted from a hand held control device E. |
