BATTERY CHARGER FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger for portable electronic apparatus capable of supporting both Apple and non-Apple smartphone type portable electronic apparatuses having different authentication systems, by a single battery charger, to enhance user's convenience.

SOLUTION: A battery charger 100 includes: a power supply 10 for generating DC power supply potential; an output transistor 11; a USB connector 12; a controller 20; and a resistant bridge circuit 60. The controller 20 includes an electric potential setting circuit that sets an intermediate potential between the power supply potential and the ground potential for a first and a second connection nodes N1 and N2 of the resistant bridge circuit 60 on a first mode (the mode that attempts to charge an Apple portable electronic apparatus 30), and that sets a power supply potential for the first and the second connection nodes N1 and N2 on a second mode (the mode that attempts to charge a non-Apple smartphone type portable electronic apparatus 40).
