<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure in which a plurality of pixels are shared, by symmetrically arranging a floating diffusion with respect to a reset transistor and an amplification transistor. <P>SOLUTION: In a cell UC1, 2 reset transistors Tc1, Tc2 and an amplification transistor Tb are provided for four photodiodes PD1 to PD4.
