<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stud bolt enabling a torque test to be easily performed and capable of preventing generation of defective products as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: In the stud bolt 10 used for capacitor stud welding, a male screw is formed on a bolt body 11 and a projection 12 for discharge is formed at a bottom. A straight recess 13 having a non-circular shape is provided so that an axis thereof is aligned with a tip of the bolt body 11.
