<p>The invention is related to a thermal insulation of pipes of a drill pipe riser, wherein the thermal insulation 6, 7 comprises several layers around the pipe 1 and between the first layer 6 and the pipe 1, and between two adjacent layers 6, 7, there are spaces 8 where sea water penetrates.
