PURPOSE: An apparatus for pressing a LNG cargo tank is provided to effectively press a secondary barrier on a lower insulating panel even when the level difference between lower insulating panels exists because an elastic layer is attached to a case to cover an opening part. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for pressing a LNG cargo tank comprises a case(110) and an elastic layer(120). The case has a space part inside thereof and an opening part(114) in one side thereof. When the case is arranged on a secondary barrier attached on an insulating panel, the opening part heads to the secondary barrier. The elastic layer is attached to one side of the case to cover the opening part. The elastic layer presses the secondary barrier while being expanded by gas injected in the space part. An attachment part is formed along the edge of one side of the case. The attachment part is inwardly protruded from the opening part to have an attachment surface for attaching the elastic layer.
