The invention relates to a device that generates a“halo”around a trailer hitch and/or ball mount on towing equipment. By providing an extended buffer area around a traditional truck ball mount/hitch, the knee, shin, leg or other body part will contact an angled area of the device, producing a glancing effect and avoiding serious pain and/or injury.
