FOAMED-RESIN COMPOSITE STRUCTURE CONTAINING INSECTICIDE FOR TERMITE CONTROL, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND TERMITE-PROOFING METHOD USING FOAMED-RESIN COMPOSITE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed-resin composite structure which is formed by filling communication holes of base material made from a foamed-resin with a filler containing an insecticide for termite controls and in which flame retardancy is hardly deteriorated and excellent termite-proofing effects are attained, to provide a method of manufacturing the foamed-resin composite structure, and to provide a termite-proofing method using the foamed-resin composite structure.

SOLUTION: The base material 1 has: voids 1d formed among foamed beads 1c in each of which a closed cell structure is formed; the communication holes 1e that exist while penetrating through from one surface 1a to the another surface 1b of the base material 1 by the communication among the voids 1d; and the oxygen index more than 21. A filling device 10 fills the voids 1d and the communication holes 1e of the base material 1 with the filler 4 having the oxygen index more than 21 and containing the insecticide for termite control. The filling ratio of the filler 4 to the base material 1 is determined to be in a range of 0.1-4.5 vol.% in accordance with the kind of the filler 4, and the voids 1d of the base material 1 and the communication holes 1e are filled with the filler 4 using the filling device 10 based on the determined filling ratio.
