<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a regulation structure which regulates a length at the longest elongation time from impairing slide performance between an outer tube and an inner tube. <P>SOLUTION: This front fork has: a slide metal M in which the regulation structure for regulating a protrusion position at a time when the inner tube 2 inserted into the outer tube 1 so as to be capable of entering thereto and exiting therefrom is protruded most from the inside of the outer tube 1 is arranged between the outer tube 1 and the inner tube 2; a slide part M1 which has stopper members 11, 21 capable of abutting on the slide metal M, and in which the slide metal M is slidably contacts with the external periphery of the inner tube 2 or the internal periphery of the outer tube 1; and an abutting end M2 which makes the stopper member abut on each other.
