<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rain water from intruding into an exterior wall and a room by making the rain water flow outside of a jamb to be discharged even when the rain water intrudes into the upper part of a window frame. <P>SOLUTION: A window sash is provided with a window frame 2 to be fitted to an opening 11 of an exterior wall 10 and a sash 3 installed in the window frame to be freely opened/closed to the outdoor side. The window frame 2 has upper and lower frames 20,23 and a pair of jambs 21,22, and a passage in which rain water flows along the upper frame is installed in the upper frame 20, and a drain hole 43 communicating with a space 65 formed by the jamb 21 and one end side of the sash 3 is installed at one end of the upper frame.
