<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for stepping motor, a driving system, and a current pattern update device such that a rotational angle reaches a target angle in a short time and vibration after the reaching can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: Time variation in rotational angle of a shaft of a stepping motor is calculated based upon a mathematical model which represents operation of the stepping motor while considering dynamic characteristics of a fitted load part using a transition period needed to change the phase of a current flowing to a coil of the stepping motor. A transition time Td and a transition waveform of a current flowing to coils 13A, 13B, and dynamic characteristics of the load part 30 are taken into consideration, so the rotational angle θ<SB POS="POST">M</SB>of the shaft can be simulated with high precision. Consequently, patterns of currents IA, IB can be optimized, the rotational angle θ<SB POS="POST">M</SB>(t) of the shaft reaches a target angle θ<SB POS="POST">tg</SB>in a short time, and the vibration after the reaching can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
