<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printer and a screen printing method that can reduce printing errors by smoothly rolling paste. <P>SOLUTION: When paste Ps is transferred to a substrate 2 by sliding a squeegee 32 on a mask 5, a leakage prevention member 33 provided for a squeegee holder 31 is slid on the mask 5 together with the squeegee 32 so as to prevent the paste Ps while being rolled on the mask 5 from leaking from the center of the squeegee 32 along the width direction to both sides of the squeegee 32.
