PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent divulging of medium information even when an encryption key or a decryption key is illegally acquired and improve system security.

SOLUTION: An information processing system of an embodiment comprises: a reading terminal equipped with reading means reading medium information from a medium; and a processing terminal executing processing by using the medium information. The reading terminal includes encryption means encrypting the read medium information by an encryption key and transmitting the encrypted medium information to the processing terminal, and first change means changing the encryption key used by the encryption means to another encryption key as well as transmitting predetermined information to the processing terminal when the same medium information is read specified times. The processing terminal includes decryption means decrypting medium information when the encrypted medium information is received, and second change means changing a decryption key used by the decryption means to another decryption key corresponding to the encryption key changed by the first changing means when the predetermined information is received from the reading terminal.
