<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely perform registering by an inexpensive configuration when successively performing printing on running materials by use of a plate provided on a rotating plate roll. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of a mark signal, printing timing signal, and impression cylinder roll position data, a printing position phase adjuster 32 sets mark position data A and printing position data B, calculates a printing interval length L, and generates a reference pulse corresponding to deviation from a printing interval set value S. At the timing of the printing timing signal, a printing position deviation detector 33 sets a set value for a counter from a reference pulse, and generates, as a plate roll position error, a counter value that decreases from the set value to zero according to the input of a plate roll FB pulse and the input of an impression cylinder roll FB pulse. The plate roll speed command generator 34 adds the result of multiplying the plate roll position error and a gain to an impression cylinder roll speed FB, thereby generating the addition result as a plate roll speed command.
