185,382. Aktiebolaget Ljungstr÷ms Angturbin. Sept. 1, 1921, [Convention date]. Regenerators.-A rotary regenerator for boiler furnaces is placed at the front of the boiler in a separate casing, the interior of which is connected in parallel with the smoke stack. As shown in Fig. 1, the regenerator 4 is arranged in the casing 21 provided with an inlet and an outlet for waste gases. A damper 30 in the stack 3 controls the quantity of gases passing through the casing. Air for combustion enters the casing at 27 and escapes through an outlet to the conduit 23 leading to the furnace. Specification 162,250 is referred to. The Specification as it became open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification, shown in Fig. 1 (Cancelled), in which the rotary regenerator 4 is arranged partly in the uptake 3 and partly in the air-conduit 5, which is separated from the uptake by a partition 10. Fans 3a and 5a are preferably provided to assist the flow of the air and gases. Fig. 4 (Cancelled) shows the rotary regenerator 14 arranged partly in the smoke-box 13 of a locomotive boiler and partly in an air-conduit 15 leading to the ash-pit. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
