A drilling machine comprises a number of identical base-blocks 3 each having a pair of faces at right angles to one another, a supporting column 11 parallel to one of the faces of each block, and a joint block 12 slidably and rotatably mounted on each column and having a bore at right angles to the column to carry a tubular support 15 for a drill 24. Each block 12 may be adjusted by a screw 23 mounted in a collar 21 clamped around the support 15. Each base block 3 is clamped to either the upper or lower face of the bed 1. Each drill 25 is fed manually or by power and is rotated by a motor 28, the drill and motor being mounted on opposite ends of the support 15, through which the driving shaft passes. |
