PURPOSE: An application obtaining method for a portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to read a keyword about an application related to a specific target structure by using NFC(Near Field Communication) in the portable terminal and download the application by searching for a keyword with the read keyword. CONSTITUTION: A control unit reads a keyword from an NFC tag according to a tagging even(301,303). The control unit executes an application search with the read keyword according to the execution of a market application(307). The control unit senses a download event after outputting result information(313). The control unit downloads an application corresponding to the download event(315).
