The device has closure element for opening and closing vent. The closure element is automatically transferred to open/lock position, when vehicle door (2) is opened/closed, respectively. A cabinet (1) is ventilated by release of air through vent when door is opened. A spring accumulator connected to closure element, is mechanically charged, when door is opened, so as to transfer closure element to open position from locking position. The energy in accumulator is discharged, when door is closed, so as to transfer closure element to locking position from open position.
