PORTABLE TERMINAL AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION METHOD

A portable terminal is connected to a first memory medium for storing subscriber information and has a non-volatile second memory medium. The portable terminal is provided with: a determining unit for determining whether or not there is a match between medium-specific information stored in the first memory medium and medium-specific information stored in the second memory medium; and a controller for using, in an instance in which it is determined that there is a match between the medium-specific information, a mobility management parameter for realizing a mobility management function. The medium-specific information is information for identifying the first memory medium without being used for communication.
